Carefully milled flour, retaining some of the germ of the wheat, gives a creamy appearance to the soft crumb of this bread. Texture and flavour are enhanced by our distinctive long fermentation process.
Made from 100% stone-ground flours milled in East Anglia, this wholemeal bread offers a unique experience of taste and texture with no additives. Coming into its own with stronger flavoured toppings, this bread performs well in any setting.

Spelt is an ancient variety of wheat favoured by organic growers and by some with a gluten intolerance who can manage spelt better than regular wheat. Spelt gives a nutritious high fibre flour and produces a loaf with a mild nutty flavour. COBS buy their spelt flour from Fosters' Mill at Swaffham Prior, a green local business.
